Situated at the bottom of the Rocky Mountain hills, Boise is a major Pacific Northwest city in the state of Idaho. It is the capital of Idaho, and the most populated city in the county of Ada County. The metropolitan area of Boise and Nampa are the biggest cities from Salt Lake, Utah to Portland, Oregon. Boise's population recently passed Spokane, Washington according to the 2010 Census.
